Designed for precision fiber laser seed pumping applications as well as printing & frequency-doubling applications, these 1064nm butterfly packaged laser diode pulsing source and control modules offer a complete source and control solution with nanosecond level pulse widths. Manufactured by ALPhANOV and offered by Laser Diode Source, these complete control modules deliver precision pulses which are generated internally by an on-board pulse generator or on demand from an external TTL signal.

Integrated 3SP Technologies 1064nm Bragg Grating Stabilized Source:
The integrated 1064nm laser diode source module is a 3SP Technologies high power single-mode laser diode in a butterfly package. It has been designed as a seed source for both pulsed and CW fiber laser applications that require operating wavelengths in the 1050nm to 1070nm range. This seed or pump source utilizes a in-house wafer fabrication and chip technology. These devices are fully Telcordia GR-468 Core qualified, ensuring an outstanding level of long term reliability. The package style is a low profile fiber coupled butterfly module which is rated for operating powers up to 500mW in continuous wave mode or 1.2 Watts of pulsed peak power. The package incorporates a thermoelectric cooler (TEC), a precision NTC thermistor and a back-facet monitoring photodiode. All of these integrated elements can be controlled and monitored through the pulsed control electronics module. These sources are available with a single mode Polarization Maintaining Fiber (PMF) pigtail. Other key features of these 1064nm devices also include high polarization extinction ration, short pulse operation of 30 nanoseconds to 500 nanoseconds and mean time to failure > 100,000 hours.

Integrated Protection for 1064nm Seed and Pump Lasers:
The control electronics and mounting module for these Bragg grating stabilized lasers offers multiple mechanical, thermal and electronic protection facilities for the 1064nm source. These units are built to ensure that your laser diode is protected and operated safely at all times. The integrated temperature controller incorporates a fast feedback PID control loop to provide high temperature set-point stability. A user-set temperature limit keeps the source from thermal damage. Bias current protection features include transient / ESD protection filters and a user controlled current limit.

Specification Notes:
1,2,3: The control electronics and mounting module is capable of generating current pulses from 2nsec to CW. However, Bragg grating stabilized sources such as the 1064 CHP typically cannot lock to a pulse width < 30nsec.
