Pre-Configured Fast Pulsing Laser Diode Source and Control Module:

These pre-configured 1064nm laser diode source & control modules are calibrated and impedance matched to deliver clean nanosecond pulses. They are a complete turn-key solution which includes the laser diode, the control electronics and the butterfly package mount. The precision pulses can be generated internally by an on-board pulse generator or they can be triggered from an external TTL signal.

  • Integrated 3SP Technologies 1060nm (+/-10nm) Bragg Grating Stabilized Source:

    The integrated 1064nm laser diode is a 3SP Technologies high power single mode laser diode in a butterfly package. It has been designed as a seed source for fiber laser, printing, and frequency conversion applications that require la source laser operating in the 1060nm range. This laser diode utilizes a in-house 3SP wafer fabrication and chip technology. These devices are fully Telcordia GR-468 core qualified, ensuring an outstanding level of long term reliability. The package style is a low profile fiber coupled butterfly module which is rated for operating powers up to 1.5 Watts of pulsed peak power. The package incorporates a thermoelectric cooler (TEC), a precision NTC thermistor and a back-facet monitoring photodiode. All of these integrated elements can be controlled and monitored through the control electronics module. These sources are available with a Polarization Maintaining Fiber (PMF) pigtail. Other key features of these lasers include high polarization extinction ration, short pulse operation of 30 nanoseconds to CW and mean time to failure > 100,000 hours.

  • Integrated Laser Diode Protection:
    The control and mounting module for these Bragg grating stabilized lasers offers multiple mechanical, thermal and electronic protection features for the laser source. These units are built to ensure that the laser diode is protected and operated safely at all times. The integrated temperature controller incorporates a fast feedback PID control loop to provide high temperature set-point stability. A user-set temperature limit keeps the source from thermal damage. Bias current protection features include transient / ESD protection filters and a user controlled current limit.

    Pulsed 1064nm Laser Diode Control Electronics and Butterfly Mounting Module:

    The control electronics and mounting module for these FBG stabilized lasers delivers high stability current pulses which can be generated internally by an on-board pulse generator or on demand from an external TTL signal. The external trigger source can be used to trigger the pulse parameters which are preset in the control module. These control modules offer multiple mechanical, thermal and electronic protection features for the laser source. They ensure that your laser diode is protected and operated safely. The on-board TEC controller incorporates a fast feedback PID control loop to provide high temperature set-point stability. A user-set temperature limit keeps the source from thermal damage. Additionally, multiple bias current / voltage protection features are designed to keep the source safe from ESD, power outages and reverse voltage. A user controlled current limit clamps the current in both Pulsed and CW mode.

    The control and mounting module is capable of generating current pulses from 1 nsec to CW. However, FBG stabilized sources such as the 1064CHP typically cannot lock to a pulse width < 30 nsec.
