These CW light sources are distributed feedback lasers (DFB). Features of these devices include a wide array of available wavelengths, versatile applications, and the option of both high power and narrow linewidth models. These lasers offer an output power of 20mW. Wavelengths are available across the range of 1360nm to 1460nm. The attached device data sheet references high power and narrow linewidth options that are available. There are multiple applications referenced for DFB laser devices. Some of the key applications are tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy, also referred to as TDLAS. A second market is telecommunications, which includes both WDM and DWDM requirements.
