1890nm, Fabry-Perot Laser Diode Overview

Eblana Photonics EP1890-FP-TP39 laser diode, available in range from 1845-1920nm, is a cost effective, highly coherent laser source. Eblana's advanced epistructure design is used to deliver an InP-based strained quantum-well Fabry-Perot laser with low threshold current and excellent spectral characteristics.

The standard TO-39 package includes integrated TEC and thermistor for precision temperature control and temperature tuning.

Proper Handling and Operation of Diode Lasers

Diode lasers are highly susceptible to damage from ESD and from temperatures exceeding their specified safe operating range. The user is advised to use care and proper ESD safety practices when handling them to avoid damage to the laser. A properly rated low noise current source, a low thermal resistance mount and a temperature controller should be used for optimal device performance and reliability.
