Product Overview:

These 786nm laser diodes from Lumics are uncooled devices which can operate efficiently with up to 100mW of CW operating power. They come in a Mini-DIL package with a fiber coupled output. These lasers have a fast rise time of less than 5 nanoseconds for pulsed sensing and metrology applications. High Reliability Performance: These modules are pigtailed with single mode fiber. They contains an gallium arsenide substrate based quantum well high power structure. The high reliability and long meant time to failure are achieved through a patent pending technology which is proprietary to Lumics lasers. The reliability is also based on careful design, exactly defined manufacturing and extensive testing prior to shipment to customers. The qualifi­cation contains a set of optoelectronic, thermal and mechanical tests. Each laser diode module is individually serialized for traceability and is shipped with a specified set of test data. Recommended Bias Conditions: These laser diodes are specified with a recommended operating current of 250mA. Their pulse mode rise and fall time is as short as 2.5 nanoseconds. Their typical threshold point for lasing is 75mA and they operated with a compliance voltage of just under 2 volts. They offer a peak wavelength 786nm. Their spectral tuning derivative is 0.02nm per degree Celsius and they ship with panda type PM Fiber, PM780.
