Product Overview:

These 808 nm laser diodes are high performance lasers which are used extensively to pump Nd:YAG and many other pumping applications. These fiber coupled modules offer high reliability and long lifetime performance. The 14 pin high heat load package has a low thermal impedance base plate to dissipate waste heat away from laser diode and into the heat sink or the instrument chassis. High coupling efficiency of the semiconductor laser chip into the multimode fiber results in high optical output power and an excellent slope efficiency of 0.83 watts of optical output power per amp of input power.

Key Features and Specifications:
These 7 watt pumps include a 2 milliwatt red pilot laser as well as a 10K thermistor and a peltier cooler. Their spectral bandwidth is < 6 nanometers (FWHM) and they have a 0.3 nanometer per degree tuning coefficient. The integrated TEC requires a maximum of 6 amps and 10 volts. They typically reach their threshold point at 1.6 amps and have a maximum current range of 10 amps. They have an SMA-905 connector for direct connection to a 200 micron core fiber patch cord. The internal monitor photodiode allows the user to run these devices in a constant optical power feedback mode. The full range of the photodiode current is 2 mA.
