Product Overview:

These DFB laser diodes from eagleyard photonics are gallium arsenide based semiconductor lasers with an integrated grating structure. They offer up to 40mW of optical output power. These devices are offered in hermetically sealed butterfly package housings with an integrated monitor photodiode. These 1064nm lasers offer integrated thermo-electric coolers as well as in integrated thermistor temperature sensors. Applications include metrology, spectroscopy and space applications. Also referenced on the data sheet is Nd:YAG Replacement. These devices come with PM fiber and an FC/APC angle polished connector. DFB's are known to be sensitive to optical feedback, so an optical isolator may be required in some cases. Operating the laser at moderate temperatures and on a proper metal heat sink will contribute to stable operation and a long lifetime of the device.
