Product Overview:

The LDX-915NM-10W is a Lumentum 2-pin multimode pump laser diode source and control system. It is a pre-configured system which includes the fiber coupled L4 packaged laser, the controller, the mounting plate/heat sink and all cables. These systems are also available at 940nm and 975nm center wavelengths. This fully configured system includes the laser diode and is optimized for powering and controlling high power single emitter pump lasers. The mounting hole footprint pattern is pre-configured for the Lumentum L4 and L4i package style module.

User has Complete Control of the 915nm Laser Diode:
The user has complete control of the 10W laser diode through the front panel or through the rear panel RS232/USB. The user controls the bias current, temperature set-point, CW or modulated mode and all other key parameters. The front panel has an LCD display with a touch key-pad. The menu structure is simple to operate, and features a status menu with current and actual temperature for the default home page setting. These systems come with an RS-232 interface and can be ordered with an optional USB interface. LabView drivers are available free of charge charge.

Fully Configured Temperature Stabilized Mount and Heat Sink:
These units have an integrated high power TEC temperature controller with a full P.I.D. control loop to deliver fast and efficient heat removal from the source laser module. The laser diode is mounted on a Peltier / TEC cooled, nickel plated copper mounting plate. The mounting plate offers very high surface finish and flatness for low thermal impedance. The cooled mounting plate for the laser is attached to a fan cooled air duct to remove the waste heat and keep the laser temperature stable.
