Multi-Mode 375nm Fiber-Coupled Laser Diode System
This 375nm Lambda Beam laser diode module is the ideal turn-key solution for scientific and industrial applications that require uncompromised performance and reliability. This module integrates a Nichia model NDU7216 UV laser diode, high-precision laser diode and temperature controller, and power controller interface - all in a compact and flexible package.
Model RLS/LD-375NM-160MW-FC includes a precision fiber-coupler and delivers up to 160mW ex-fiber power, from multi-mode fiber. The fiber-coupler can be removed for high-quality free-space beam output of up to 200mW.
Broad Versatility Provides Application Flexibility
The control electronics and integrated thermoelectric cooler are optimized for the Nichia laser and ensure a high stability output with excellent beam quality. The laser is housed in a compact head with temperature controlled mount, and connected to the PowerController by cable.
The Lambda Beam laser system interfaces to the control computer by the USB on the PowerController, and is conveniently operated with the included LTune software. Using the software, the laser output power and temperature can be adjusted, which allows fine tuning of the wavelength by temperature.
The PowerController includes connections for the power supply, safety interlock, USB interface, laser head interconnect cable, and external modulation. The user and system are protected by a key-switch that prevents inadvertent operation of the laser. After the output is activated there is a 5 second delay (a CDRH requirement) for additional operator safety.
High Stability through Precision TEC Based Temperature Control and Low Noise Control Electronics
The Nichia source diode laser is temperature controlled through an embedded TE cooler. The active temperature control loop ensures very high short and long term stability, and careful component selection and low noise control electronics enable a low noise laser output.
Simple Set-Up and Complete Control using GUI Software
All operating parameters can be set, monitored, and controlled from your PC using the included graphical user interface control software. The laser can also be controlled from your own application software; refer the Operating Manual for a detailed description of the communication protocol (the manual is available on the Laser Diode Source product web page).
Optional Accessories for the Lambda Beam
These 375nm diode laser modules have a wide range of options including a mechanical shutter, and collimating optics for the free-space module. A second power supply option is the PowerBox, which is more compact than the PowerController, and designed more for OEM applications. Please request price and part number information for options.
