Turn-Key Scientific Series 488nm Laser Diode Module

These high stability 488nm laser diode modules include an integrated Nichia model NDS4216 blue laser diode. This module delivers a collimated beam output with up to 200mW of single mode power. The control electronics and integrated cooler are optimized for this gallium-nitride based Nichia laser and ensure a high stability output with excellent beam quality. The LD-488NM offers user adjustable output power and user adjustable temperature. This allows full flexibility for your application and allows the user to fine tune the wavelength through temperature tuning. The module includes a USB 2.0 I/O and control software. The LD-488NM series module can be configured with a free-space output or a fiber coupled output. The GUI user interface makes set-up quick and easy. These laser diode based modules are available with multiple options to optimize the laser for your application. Optional accessories include a fiber coupler with fiber patch cord, a mechanical shutter and collimating optics.

High Stability 488nm Laser Diode Output through Precision TEC Based Temperature Control and Low Noise Control Electronics

The Nichia source diode laser is temperature controlled through an embedded TE cooler. The user can adjust the temperature to fine tune the wavelength. The active temperature control loop ensures very high short and long term stability. Careful component selection and low noise control electronics enable a low noise laser output.

Simple Set-Up and Control using GUI Software

All operating parameters can be set, monitored and controlled from your PC using the included control software. A simple to use graphical interface allows you to adjust the laser power and the temperature. The laser can also be controlled from your own application software. Ships with Pre-Configured Power Supply, Optional Accessories Available

The compact design of the LD-488NM is optimized to provide easy integration into an OEM system or in a lab R&D set-up. The PowerController power supply module is included in the purchase price. The PowerController requires a DC power source. It connects directly into the back of the laser head through a d-Sub connector. The PowerController also includes a Key-Switch master power ON/OFF. These 488nm diode laser modules have a wide range of options including a fiber coupler, a mechanical shutter and collimating optics. A second power supply option is the PowerBox model.
