Product Overview:

520nm, 50mW Fiber Coupled Laser Diode Overview

LD4B-520-FP-50-DIL-21-PM03.5-FU-CW-0.5 is a Fabry-Perot laser diode coupled to PM optical fiber. This laser is mounted in a Mini-DIL Package with internal TEC and thermistor. The laser comes standard with PM optical fiber terminated with an FC/UPC connector; please refer to the data sheet or contact us for information on fiber connector options. These laser diodes are also available in a coaxial fiber-coupled package. Other connector and fiber options are available; refer to the data sheet for additional details.

Proper Handling and Operation of Diode Lasers

Diode lasers are highly susceptible to damage from ESD and from temperatures exceeding their specified safe operating range. The user is advised to use care and proper ESD safety practices when handling them to avoid damage to the laser. A properly rated low noise current source, a low thermal resistance mount and a temperature controller should be used for optimal device performance and reliability.
