488nm, 60mW Laser Diode Module Overview:
These turn-key modules offer an integrated Nichia single mode Gallium Nitride TO-can laser source. They provide a long coherence length solution in a free-space or fiber-coupled module. Key features include a very stable wavelength, long life time and simple to use interface. They include a temperature control and current driver unit.
These lasers are used in research, holography, interference, fluorescence, and flow cytometry applications. They are also used for DNA sequencing and in measurement instrumentation. The 488nm source is in a 5.6mm TO-can package which is mounted on a temperature cooled pedestal in the module. Electrical connectors are made through the read panel of the module.
